2010 UCI BMX World Championships – Day 1

South African fans celebrated on the first day of the UCI BMX World Championships at the Royal Agricultural Showgrounds in Pietermaritzburg as nine year old Johannesburg schoolgirl Georgina Grassie became the nation's newest World Champion when she won her 9 Girls main final to give the host nation their first title of the Championship.

The second day of the UCI BMX World Champs features the challenge class finals for the 14 and over juniors and the masters classes, followed by the elite junior men and women's time trials in the afternoon.
