Of the team riders, only Joel Stransky, Jack Stroucken and Ernst Viljoen have previously participated in the Absa Cape Epic.

Responsible for the team’s training and race preparation, Viljoen says “the team is now focusing on base training to ensure a solid foundation for the ultimate endurance mountain biking event – The 2012 Absa Cape Epic. Not only is the physical training important, but equally critical is the mental preparation, and balancing between careers, family and finding enough time to commit to training for the event. Each day is an important building block in the ultimate aim of reaching the finish at Lourensford on 1 April 2012,” he explains.

Through their partnerships, the team will reflect and emphasize Absa’s core proposition “Better Together”. “Our aim is for the team to have a fun and enjoyable experience, a safe and successful finish and to bring acknowledgement to our specific charities”, concludes Viljoen.
