Abundance of Top Quality Cross-Country MTB for KZN

KwaZulu-Natal’s 2012 mountain biking cross-country scene is set to start in a big way this month!

Whilst providing the elite athlete the opportunity to race in a world-class event, the three planned UCI-rated events will also be providing adequate opportunity for the newcomer to this exciting discipline to get a taste of what it is all about!

The Momentum Health XCO Internationals, as the events will be known, are intended to bring the fun and excitement back into cross-country (XCO), making the courses accessible to all skills levels without compromising on the challenges for the top tier racer.

The three events create the perfect platform for elite racers to fine tune their skills whilst gaining valuable UCI Points in the lead up to the UCI MTB World Cup in Pietermaritzburg at the Cascades MTB Park, on the weekend of the 16th to 18th of March this year.

Master track builder Nick Floros is in charge of the routes, and the Max Cluer Sports Marketing team working in conjunction with KZN Mountain Biking are promising three world-class events.  Spectators are encouraged to support the athletes and enjoy the spectacular racing over the next few weeks.
